HELL CAGE 2 - "Heaven or Hell"
19th October, Prague, Czech republic

ARUNAS ANDRIUSKEVICIUS v ALEK OSMANOVIC

Finally the well deserved breakthrough and fight we are looking forward too is happening for our fighter Arunas Andriuskevicius.

RESULTS: After the opponent was changed 3 times in the end we found out that Arunas is to face off with Pavel Botka, the Man who at the last HELL CAGE beat the Legend himself - Dan 'The Beast' Severn on a points decision!

Luckily we found that out after the fight in the Hotel lobby.

At the begin of the round you cold see the size difference with Arunas weighin in at 94.3kg and Pavel at 108kg, Pavel was as well the much taller fighter - Nevertheless the round started with some punch and kick exchanges with Arunas edging it just to finish in the clinch with Pavel taking Arunas to the ground and triying with different locks and holds to make Arunas Tap but to no avail!!!

Pavel did catch Arunas with a Anaconda Choke and nearly caught him but Arunas hang in there and wiggeled somehow out and changed position...in the process Arunas landed a good elbow and cut Pavel on the Nose as that happened Arunas applied the tringle choke with which he finished Pavel in the 1st round after 4.38'!

WINNER by TRINGLE CHOKE - Arunas Andriuskevicus STORM GYM - Luton!!!

- Tom Newman (Sit Nak Muay) V Marat Hakimov (Storm Gym)- Thai Boxing, 3X2’

- TC v Panikos Kleanthous (Storm Gym) MMA, 2X5’

RESULTS:

First to break the ice was Peter, the fist round could only be described as an 'onslaught', to be honest I don't know how Mark survived! In round two Peter caught Mark wiith a vicious hook and floored him...Mark made it for the 8 count. Round 3 saw Peter work the better -WINNER by unanimous decision Peter Kjusonoks STORM GYM - Luton!

Second fighter to fight was Marat, first round was feeling out round with Marat catching Tom with some good punches and a lot of knee and clinch work! In the second round Marat caught Tom with a beatyfull cross followed by a roundhouse kick to the head/neck...Tom was for safety reaons taken to hospital and cleared after complaining that he could not breathe! - WINNER by TKO stoppage Marat Hakimov - Luton!

Third fighter fo Storm Gym was Panikos in his first PRO-MMA debut against local hero and brother of famous fighter Sam Rocha....Paul Rocha. The start was very explosive as anticipated with the local guy truying to intimidate Panikos but Panikos was not having any of it, as the round went on positions got changed, punches as well and one stage Panikos launched about 30 unanswered punches to his opponents guard and a moment later when the same was reversed with Paul landing just 4 or 5 punches the referee to everyones amazement jumped and stopped the fight, clearly Panikos was not fazed or anything like it ut A BAD DECISION BY THE REFEREE, BAD DECISION...in the end Panikos did us all proud and proved why he is the CYPRIAN CYCLONE! Well done Panikos.

ABOLUTE ADRENALINE - RELENTLESS
September 14th, Opera House, Bournemouth

Mo Kargbo V Andrew Tate (STORM GYM - Luton)

Weight: 83/84kg
Rules: Full Contact
Duration: 6 x 2

Kargbo Stopped!

Mo Kargbo may have come to the end of the road following his stoppage loss to Andrew Tate.

The contest was a nip and tuck affair with neither man committing enough to be convincing. You had the feeling that Kargbo had another gear but he never seemed to find it and Tate exploited that by producing a workmanlike performance.

Kargbo played when he should have acted and this gave Tate a growing confidence boost and by the 4th round he was letting the shots go. In the 5th Kargbo responded but following a superman punch he walked onto a right hand that connected high on the head.

He took an 8 count and was saved by the bell. In the corner there was confusion as Kargbo complained of hearing loss, but he was tentatively sent out for the next round where he proceeded to take an immidiate count before the start of the action. The towel went in on the contest and possibly the former world champions career.

This loss makes it 2 wins and 3 losses in 2008 at little more than domestic level where 2 years ago Kargbo would have laughed at competing in.

We wish him well in whatever he chooses.

Steve Murphy V Arunus Andriuskavicus (STORM GYM - Luton)
Weight: 100/103kg
Rules: Pro MMA
Duration: 3 x 5

Bad Cut Rules Out Murphy!

Steve Murphy was sensationally pulled from his contest against Arunus Andrius in the second round following a huge series of cuts both over and under his right eye.

Up until that point it had been an absorbing contest with Andrius looking the sharper but Murphy the stronger.

Both men traded blows but it was Murphy who took the fight to the ground and stamped his authority and strength. Andrius leg kicks were fast and hard but on the ground he struggled with the heavier Bournemouth man.

Several times they were brought to their feet by referee Mark Woodard and following a short trade they ended up back on the canvas.

It was difficult to apportion the upper hand as both men had their merits but in the end the cuts were the deciding factor and the stoppage victory went to Andrius. This would make a good rematch.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
James Cornick (Bulldog Gym) V Paul Douglas (STORM GYM - Luton)
Title: IKF English Kickboxing Welterweight Title
Weight: 67kg max
Rules: Full Contact
Duration: 8 x 2 mins

Fight Of The Night For Cornick & Douglas

In an amazing display of skill, heart and fitness, James Cornick and Paul Douglas showed us all what a championship battle is all about. The 8 round contest had everything and showed both fighters at their very best.

Douglas had perfected the art of fighting from the back foot whilst Cornick pressed forward time and again with relentless agression. Neither man looked to be in trouble at any time as both dealt with the onslaughts of their foe with true professional skills. Cornick would deliver 3 shots and Douglas would give 4 back, keeping light on his feet to avoid being trapped.

Some of the rounds were very close but you had to edge it to Douglas by the half way point. The Cornick corner must have felt the same because by round 5 he had stepped up yet another gear. But Douglas went with it and created a furious pace at a time when most other fighters would be flagging.

By the 7th Douglas had the measure and was consolidating, sometimes throwing 4 or 5 kicks off the same leg. But Cornick would then back him onto the ropes and unleash 8 or 9 unanswered shots before Douglas would skillfully move out of range.

At the final bell the whole audience were on their feet applauding what was possibly the fight of the year.

The winner and new IKF English Welterweight Champion - Paul Douglas.

71kg - Peter Kuksjonoks vs. Danny Warr (Banbury Thai) KO 1st
